In the vibrant realm of abstraction, my first solo exhibition at Spinderihallerne in Vejle, entitled “Random Framed” invites viewers into a world where colors pulse, shapes transform, and inspiration extends from artists such as Tekashi Murakami, Kaws, Keith Harring, to the cartoon style where characteristic features and narratives thrive. Through the lens of abstract expressionism and a deep fascination with the world of comics, I explore emotions that transcend the boundaries of recognizable imagery to create what I perceive as abstract faces rooted in the distinctive expressions of comics. My chosen medium, acrylics, serves as the funnel for channeling my artistic vision onto the canvas. Before I paint with acrylics, each work is made on a digital tablet connected to my computer. These digital pieces of work are imitated onto canvases with acrylics. Vibrancy plays a big role in all my work. The exhibition, “Random Framed” draws its name from the deliberate graffiti style-placement of artworks in the public. Unlike a conventional display, these pieces are intentionally scattered, creating an enigmatic visual montage. This is an open invitation to experience the unapologetic diversity of each piece, standing side by side, unified in their streetwise approach yet distinctly individual. “Random Framed” encapsulates the essence of my artistic journey - a fusion of inspiration from contemporary art, street culture, and a commitment to expressing raw emotions through abstract forms. It’s an exploration of limitless possibilities that unfold when colors clash, forms collide, and the canvas transforms into a battleground of visual spontaneity. Step into a world where randomness is the frame holding together the beauty of abstraction.
